We evaluated the representation, behavior and perception of women at an international conference in the field of ecology. Based on our results, we developed recommendations and guidelines for creating inclusive meetings. This project was funded by the Iberian Society of Ecology (SIBECOL). IMPACT OF COVID
The pandemic has negatively impacted the productivity, work-life balance, mental well-being of women in academia. We are collaborating with the research group SINTE-Lest to investigate how the Covid-19 impacted on researchers in Earth Sciences during the first months of the pandemic. Free teaching resources aiming to close the knowledge gender gap in Geosciences courses at universities. Here, you can find resources for evaluating yourself, increasing the visibility of top female limnologists, or raising awareness about gender gaps in sciences. the situatio of women in this scientific field. This project was funded by the European Geosciences Union (EGU).
We used a multi-faceted approach to assess the situation of female limnologists within the geographic context of the Iberian Peninsula. Based on the results, we proposed several guidelines to reduce gender gaps in limnology. Learn more about our results at Sánchez-Montoya et al. 2016.
